On June 1, 1976, Arati, the supercharged nun who was our graphic designer, strode briskly onto the Pubble deck that overlooked the Village and launched into a fortissimo rendition of “June is Bustin’ Out All Over!” You may have heard Arati’s performance of “Big Frog, Little Frog” on All the World is My Friend, an album of Swamiji’s songs for children. There was much tittering among the nuns when Arati belted out the lines: “June is bustin’ out all over! The sheep aren’t sheepish anymore! All the rams that chase the ewe sheep are determined there’ll be new sheep And the ewe-sheep aren’t even keepin’ score!”

Arjuna

Arjuna managed Ananda Construction. They built I think 14 homes at an upscale development called Lake Wildwood. They developed a tremendous reputation among the homeowners for always doing the job right, for being honest and fair and pleasant to deal with, and for never smoking, cursing, or drinking on the job. This is a posed shot of Arjuna pretending to work on a finished door at an Ananda-built Lake Wildwood home. I believe Nirmala did the stained glass.
